Longleat

Longleat Safari Park is off the A36 between Bath and Salisbury, Wiltshire, and is a family attraction with a host of entertainments that add up to a special family day out.

Safari Drive Through
Wind up your windows. Hide all the sandwiches. You’re going on a safari tour that’s wilder, furrier and growlier than you ever dared imagine.
Don’t forget to download the award-winning Longleat App! The perfect, pocket-sized guide to our Safari Drive-through.

Jungle Kingdom
Jungle Kingdom offers you the chance to get really close to all sorts of exotic animals. You can even walk through many of the enclosures and interact with the animals directly. Our walkthrough meerkat enclosure was the first of its kind in the UK and lets you get completely immersed in a meerkat’s world. See them dash around right under your feet, through caves and over rocks. They might even stand guard on their hind legs, making sure you aren’t after their dinner! While you’re here, say hello to the porcupines, giant anteaters, binturong, and our ever so adorable aardvarks.

Animal Adventure
If you want to get really close to our animals, this is the place to be. In the Animal Handling Hall our keepers will have you touching tarantulas and stroking snakes before you know it. But don’t worry if this doesn’t sound like your cup of tea. There are also cuddly creatures like guinea pigs and bunny rabbits as well as plenty of others to see and touch. You can even take a perch for one of our Parrot Shows.

Family Farmyard
Family Farmyard is the perfect place for younger animal lovers to come and meet some of their farmyard favourites – think bouncing bunny rabbits, clucking chickens and darling donkeys. (But keep your eyes peeled for some slightly more unusual animals as well – this is Longleat after all!)
Our dedicated keepers will be on hand to tell you about these furry and feathery residents and what they need to live healthy and happy lives.

Longleat Railway
All aboard! Welcome to the Longleat Railway, our very own 15 inch narrow gauge miniature railway, running every year since 1965…. Older than even the Safari Park! Jump on board the 1 ¼ mile journey around the Park’s scenic woodland.

Hedge Maze
Your mission? Find the central observation tower! (And ultimately, the way out.) It sounds simple enough. But should you go left or right? And what about all the dead ends? With over a mile and a half of paths to choose from you’re bound to get lost. Our maze will keep everyone guessing. So whether it takes you five minutes or 50, you’ll have loads of fun along the way.

Adventure Castle
Explore our medieval fortress, test your courage and endurance – be bold, have fun, discover, imagine and make your own adventures.
Kids can spend hours discovering this exciting adventure playground, complete with zip wires, climbing frames, tube slides and a medieval keep.
Our youngest visitors won’t miss out either. They’ll love the new indoor soft play area with two levels of climbing, sliding, rolling and spinning!
The Adventure Castle is designed for children aged 14 years and under. Adult supervision is required at all times.

Little Explorers Garden
Our youngest explorers will love discovering this enchanting new play area where they’ll be transported into the world of some of their favourite critters.
Inspired by British wildlife, the Little Explorer’s Garden features 4 fun-filled and immersive zones each of which is based on an adorable furry friend that you might spot in your garden. Whether they’re clambering over Suzie Squirrel’s climbing frame or exploring Topsy the Bunny’s hidden burrows, kids will have a great time whilst learning about important native species. So what are you waiting for? Come and play!
