Lappa Valley is the only attraction in Cornwall that transports families on an exciting nostalgic steam train ride into a secret world of traditional fun and family adventures. Children will delight in the thrill of trains and boats, explore nature, let off steam in our outdoor spaces before refuelling in comfort at the fantastic café.

ACTIVITIES

There’s a wealth of family-friendly activities to enjoy here at Lappa Valley. From our boating lake to our crazy golf course, from outdoor adventures to indoor fun, from our musical trail to our woodland walks, there’s plenty of fun to be had on our 35-acre site.

BOATING LAKE
Join us at Lappa Valley and head out onto our beautiful family-friendly boating lake. We have canoes and pedalo swans available for you all to enjoy.

CRAZY GOLF
Play a round on our crazy golf course, fun for the whole family, with 9 holes to enjoy – all included in your ticket!

ADVENTURE PLAY
Lappa Valley has lots of fun play areas for the kids to enjoy. When you arrive, we have a small playground right next to the Ticket Office, including rocker trains and slides. Play here while you’re waiting to board the train.

Once you’re inside the park, we’ve got a play fort at East Wheal Rose and trampolines next to the crazy golf course.

These new additions join all of our favourite classic play areas inside Lappa Valley: Pirate Ship, Play Jeep,Range of Slides,Swings,Roundabout,Climbing Frames,Sand Pit,Giant Tunnel Slide,and Pedal Cars.

At Newlyn Halt, right at the top of Lappa Valley, there is also a family games field with picnic tables, play trains, football nets and balls. We’ve also got our picnic and paddle area here.

INDOOR PLAY
We have started work on construction of a £1.2m building, creating a brand-new café and indoor soft play area at our much-loved family visitor attraction.

The Engine Shed, a 7,000 square foot new building, will contain a large coffee shop and café overlooking the picturesque canoeing lake, with a substantial soft play area where young children can play safely. There will also be an outdoor park area, as well as a beautiful decked area to enjoy coffee and lunch outdoors.

The building will also allow the Lappa team an indoor space to run activities and workshops throughout the year and will see Lappa Valley opening year-round from 2020.

We also have a small indoor play carriage next to the Ice Cream Express café. With little Bunny Burrows tunnels, soft play and lots of toys, it’s a fun place to enjoy when the weather clouds over.
