The Observatory Science Centre is home to six historical telescopes. For the children there are hands on science and discovery among the domes and telescopes of a world famous astronomical observatory. Children's monthly activities, special events, family Zany Zone 'Drop-in' on school holidays. Workshops, science experience days, discovery days, astronomy courses and festival.

The South Downs Planetarium is a registered educational charity, which is run by a small team of experienced and dedicated volunteers. The Planetarium operates throughout the year, but is not open every day. Members of the public are welcome to visit the Planetarium at the show times listed on thier website.

Something for everyone from art, energy, environment, medicine and biology, space and transport. Fun exhibits and dedicated children's galleries for under 5's. IMAX 3D Cinema. Special Exhibitions. Visit their website for full details available for different age groups. Open 7 days a week from 10:00 to 18:00 except 24 to 26 December. Entry is free, but charges apply for the IMAX 3D Cinema, simulators and some special exhibitions.
