FAMILY GOLD CHALLENGE
ALLOWS ALL AGES TO GET INVOLVED
IN THE EXCITEMENT AROUND LONDON 2012

Gold Challenge, the charity challenge partnered with the British Olympic Association and Team GB, has launched a range of challenges that allows families to harness the excitement around London 2012 by taking on Olympic & Paralympic sports to raise money for charity.
Families looking to get active at the start of term can now take up their very own Gold Challenge and enjoy sport as a family. Families and those aged 7 – 15 sign up for free and choose their challenge from a range of family friendly options.
The challenges include the 5 Sport Challenge where families and groups of young people take on 5 Olympic & Paralympic sports, the Family Activity Challenge which encourages families to learn Olympic sports together and the 2012 km Challenge where challengers must cover 2012 km (individually or collectively) in one or more of the Olympic & Paralympic sports.
Families can take part as a team made up of at least one adult (16+) and at least one child between the ages of 7 and 15. Adults can be family members, carers or youth leaders. Anyone under 16 must receive parental permission to sign up to the Gold Challenge.
Gold Challenge is partnered with British Olympic Association and Sport England and is part of the official mass participation legacy programme for London 2012.
