| Bike4Life is an independent cycle training and promotion organisation offering tuition to people of all ages and abilities in Brighton & Hove and throughout Sussex. Based in Brighton & Hove and perating throughout Sussex, Bike for Life is a cycle training organisation dedicated to promoting cycling and helping anybody to bike for health, for leisure, for fun as well as for those everyday journeys. Between March and October the club typically meets at Preston Park Cycle Track every Saturday between 10 and 12 AM. The club also meets less often during the winter months. The club has Club Mark status, the quality assurance standard for community sports clubs, and won Club of the Year at the most recent Brighton and Hove City Sports Awards. One of their coaches, Anthony Rogers, was the winner of the 2008 Sussex Coach of the Year award capping a very good year for the club. The club caters for members aged at 8 to 18 years, though we have some older and younger members. Membership is FREE when you join British Cycling and club session rates are £2.50 for British Cycling members and £4 for non members. They provide fun, skills and competitive cycling activities with fully qualified coaches at Preston Park Cycle Track. The East Sussex CTC currently has four sections - Eastbourne & Hailsham, Hastings & Rother, Midweek and Seaford & Newhaven. The geographically based sections have rides mainly on Sundays and the Midweek Section on Wednesdays. There are also occasional tours and camping or hostelling weekends and social activities. Anyone is welcome to come along, but if they continue they will be asked to join the CTC, which gives third party insurance amongst other benefits. |

Cycling awareness training for children A cycling awareness course gives children the skills they need for riding their bikes on the road. The aim is to encourage children to think independently and make their own informed decisions.

Cycling East Sussex 2008 Our programme of guided rides and cycling events, mainly aimed at beginners and improvers.
Rye Rides Town and countryside rides for all abilities, in the Rye area.
Cuckoo Trail The 11mile (16km) surfaced track through the Sussex countryside is a safe cyclists all ages and abilities. An extension runs south from Polegate to Hampden Park in Eastbourne forming part of a National Cycle Network route.
Forest Way Country Park The 10 mile (14.5 km) route runs from Forest Row in the west close to the River Medway towards Groombridge in the east. There are a number of circular trails, varying in length and difficulty.
Shinewater Park Shinewater Park is Eastbourne's newest park and combines purpose built recreation facilities within a country park atmosphere. Surfaced footpath/cycleways form pleasant routes around the Park. |
