Visit the Alfriston Clergy House and see their bumper crop of pumpkins and during half-term there is a Halloween Hunt for the children.
Join in the Folklore and fairy trail at Bateman’s. There’ll be fairies to be found in the garden over half-term and children’s tales brought to life on their trail.
Each year when Hallowe’en comes around there’s fun and games in at Bodium castle when the Crones come to visit. Are you brave enough to enter Crones’ Corner to experience their unique concoctions and magical tales.
At Sheffield Park there’s plenty to keep your little ones (and big ones too) entertained with the woodland play area, trail, climbing walls, storytelling chairs and loads of den building materials.
There’s plenty to see and do at Wakehurst, whatever the season. With natural play areas for the children, and wildlife all around, there is something to keep everyone entertained. Join in family activities Sat 14th and 15th October and in December enjoy a magical after-dark walk when the majestic woodlands are brought to life with glowing, handcrafted lanterns.
Visit Petworth Park October half-term and take part in some spine tingling activities. Enrol in the Petworth Witches and Wizards Academy and make some spooky craft to take home.
