We have now re-opened our juniors section, which meets on Wednesday evening at 7:30pm at the Burgess Hill School gym. Training on Wednesdays will initially be for over 13s only and will form part of the adult development squad.
Training will primarily be of endurance running and consist of warming up, the session itself and stretching/ cool-down. The session itself will usually comprise a slow run to a location, a structured programme of training (e.g. faster pace repetition, pyramids, hills, continuous effort) as well as some fun events.
Juniors will be able to participate in the following:
i. Sussex cross-country league age-graded (boys & girls) races- four a year.
ii. West Sussex fun run league races (under 16s) of varying degrees of difficulty, roughly monthly throughout the year.
iii. Other ad hoc relay races and track events.

Activity Details This is the 24th year that Chichester Runners has been in existence. Formed in October 1984 with eight runners we now have a membership of over 260 with nearly half of those in a thriving junior section. Our activities range from indoor sports hall athletics for the juniors through to road, cross country, multi-terrain events and track and field
Chichester Runners and AC aims to provide a friendly club atmosphere where all standards of athletes will feel welcome, from those who wish to keep fit and enjoy the more social side of belonging to a club, to those who are more competitive and wish to improve their PBs! We can and do cater for all.
